Pop-Up Jewellery Pavilion

A pop-up jewellery pavilion for Gaja that stages the work as art rather than as merchandise. A single arched portal and the illuminated monogram set the threshold; inside, a central consultation table sits between floating vitrines, and the space is set at the scale of a gallery rather than of a shop. Lighting is tuned to true colour and to the stone, not to theatre.

Jewellery is sold at close range, and the pavilion is planned around that distance. The floating vitrines set the work at eye level and at arm’s length, the table turns a transaction into a consultation, and the lighting is calibrated to the stones rather than to the space, so that what a client sees under the pavilion’s light is what she will see outside it. The pavilion is temporary; the standard is not.
