Dar Al-Namroush
The interiors of a summer house in Tripoli, designed with Roomooz Architects around the way a long season is lived: a single-storey plan in which cooking, eating, and living share one open space that opens to the garden, and bedrooms that close down to the quiet of a hotel. DIUM carried the interior architecture, joinery, lighting, and furniture throughout.
The living space is organised around its island: the kitchen is placed in the space rather than beside it, and a suspended fireplace marks the point where the living and dining halves meet, so that the household gathers in one place whatever the hour. In the bedrooms the house changes key — darker, softer, slower — and reads as two moods under one roof: the day shared, the night private.
